Mining Claims Intelligence
// U.S. Mining Claim Intelligence Platform

THEU.S.MINING CLAIMINTELLIGENCE PLATFORM.

ClaimWatch is a professional research platform for U.S. unpatented mining claims. Built on BLM MLRS records, USGS mining district polygons, and BLM CadNSDI PLSS data, ClaimWatch generates due diligence, site selection, area-of-interest, and regional prospecting reports — purpose-built for the fragmented U.S. system that has no centralized national cadastre.

FROM DAYS
TO HOURS.

01 / CONSOLIDATED

Claims, deposits, and land status in one deliverable.

Claims data, disposition records, historic mineral deposits, and land status — pulled together before the report hits your inbox. No more cross-referencing federal and state systems for days.

02 / PLAIN LANGUAGE

Written for the decision, not the system.

Federal case records speak in action codes, disposition flags, and cryptic remarks. Reports translate that into the narrative a principal or client can actually read — the story behind the ground, not the machine-readable exhaust.

03 / BOARDROOM READY

A deliverable, not a browser tab.

Public browsing sites are fine for a casual look. They aren't something you can hand to investors, attach to a board memo, or file against a project. ClaimWatch ships a branded, formatted, print-ready report that's built to be delivered.

02
// Deliverable Package

EVERY PROJECT
SHIPS COMPLETE.

Nothing to install. Nothing to integrate. Every area of interest is delivered as a complete package — four components, ready for the office, the field, the boardroom, or the filing.

THE REPORTS
WE SHIP TODAY.

ClaimWatch reports are built for specific decisions — not a generic dashboard you have to interpret yourself. Four report types are in production now.

REPORT 01

AREA CHECK

// Land status & due diligence

A rigorous review of everything on and under a defined area of interest. Active claims, claimant concentration, historic mineral deposits, land status, withdrawals, and patent chain — one document built for committing capital or closing a deal.

Answers: What's here? And what has happened — when, and by whom?
REPORT 02

REGIONAL PROSPECTING
& SITE SELECTION

// Finding ground & ranking targets

A wider-aperture analysis across a region, basin, or district — paired with a scored comparison of candidate parcels. Identifies high-prospectivity sections, active claim concentrations, historic districts, and the strongest staking targets within the play.

Answers: Where is the play? Which parcel deserves the first dollar?
REPORT 03

CLAIM CHANGE
TRACKING

// Monitoring the ground you care about

A recurring report on everything that changed inside your area of interest — new claims staked, closures, transfers, fee-overdue positions, competitor movements. Delivered on your cadence. You hear about it from us before it shows up anywhere else.

Answers: What moved around my project this cycle?
REPORT 04

GAP YEAR
EXPOSURE

// Forfeiture risk & claim jumper defense

A 2011 Congressional drafting error left pre-1993 lode claims exposed to conclusive abandonment under FLPMA Section 314. Claim jumpers are actively targeting these claims. ClaimWatch has already flagged every affected claim in the BLM system — find out if yours are at risk before someone else does.

Answers: Are my claims exposed? Is someone coming for my ground?
04
// Ready to Commit?

THE GROUND
IS WORTH IT.
NOW WHAT?

A ClaimWatch report can tell you whether the ground deserves a closer look. When the answer is yes — when the claim activity, deposit history, and land-status signals all point the right direction — the next step is the detail work: active claim mapping, land status verification, and getting a staking package filed. That's what ChoraQuest does.

01 / Claim Mapping & Land Status

Verify the open ground.

Detailed active claim mapping and manual land status research to confirm what's actually available for staking. Field-level verification before you commit to a position.

02 / Automated Staking Packages

Complete staking packages in minutes.

Proprietary automated tools generate complete staking packages at scale — location certificates, corner cards, and maps for near-unlimited claim counts. Fast turnaround on large blocks.

03 / GroundControl Analysis

Seniority and controlling ground.

GroundControl examines entire claim blocks for senior/junior conflicts, invalid DM placement, excluded-lands overlaps, and acreage loss. No one else has this capability.

04 / GIS & Custom Development

Maps, tools, automation.

Publication-grade ArcGIS Pro cartography for exhibits, investor decks, and regulatory filings. Custom GIS tools, workflow automation, and document processing — built to your operation.

05
// Built for the Field

WHO CLAIMWATCH
SERVES.

01 / MINING COMPANIES

Project and Competitor Monitoring

Watch your project areas. Track competitor claim activity. Know when new claims are staked adjacent to your ground — and who staked them — before it shows up in a press release or market report.

02 / GEOLOGISTS

Site Selection by Evidence

Layer active claim density over historic production and documented mineral deposits. Identify ground worth walking based on a combined signal of mineralization, district history, and industry positioning.

03 / LANDMEN

Claims Research at Scale

Full claimant chains, disposition history, land status, and withdrawal overlays in a single deliverable. Built by landmen who have spent decades in the BLM system — for landmen who need answers fast.

04 / INVESTORS & ACQUIRERS

Acquisition Intelligence

Royalty companies, PE funds, and institutional investors evaluating mineral asset acquisitions need the same claim intelligence their target companies have. ClaimWatch delivers it independently, on your timeline.

06
// Why ClaimWatch

NOT A DATA BROWSER.
A DELIVERABLE.

The public sites are free for a reason. They'll tell you a claim exists. They won't tell you what to do about it, hand you a report you can sign, or put a map in your deck. ClaimWatch does.

01

Ready for the client.

Reports ship as polished HTML and PDF with ChoraQuest branding, print formatting, and section structure that mirrors what title professionals expect. Hand it over. It's done.

02

Verified before delivery.

Every report is built from deterministic queries against authoritative public data. Facts are computed, not estimated. Output is verified against source before delivery. The pipeline itself enforces quality.

03

Built by the people who use it.

Two decades of BLM research, mineral title examination, and claim staking experience — turned into a production tool. Every section of every report exists because a landman or geologist actually needed it on a real project.

04

Proprietary tools no one else has.

Complete staking packages in minutes. GroundControl seniority analysis that confirms which claims actually control the ground. These aren't off-the-shelf — they're purpose-built by ChoraQuest and available exclusively through this platform.

// FAQ

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is ClaimWatch?
ClaimWatch is a professional U.S. mining claim intelligence platform that generates Due Diligence (DD), Site Selection (SS), Area of Interest (AOI), and Regional Prospecting reports for unpatented mining claims. It is a product of ChoraQuest, LLC, a Georgia-based mineral title research firm.
What data does ClaimWatch use?
Live BLM MLRS unpatented claim records, USGS mining district polygons, BLM CadNSDI PLSS data, and the federal land status legal stack (43 CFR, USC Title 30, General Mining Act of 1872).
Is ClaimWatch only for U.S. mining claims?
Yes. ClaimWatch is purpose-built for U.S. federal unpatented mining claim research and does not cover non-U.S. jurisdictions. For background on why U.S. mining claim data requires a specialized platform, see The Fragmented U.S. Mining Data Landscape.
Can ClaimWatch tell me whether ground is "open" for staking?
ClaimWatch reports active claim density and claim activity at the section level. True open-ground determination requires detailed aliquot-level boundary mapping, which is delivered through ChoraQuest's full mineral title examination service. ClaimWatch is the intelligence layer; ChoraQuest's professional services are the title-grade layer above it.
What report types does ClaimWatch generate?
Area Check (due diligence), Regional Prospecting & Site Selection, Claim Change Tracking, and Gap Year Exposure Analysis. Each report ships as a complete package: HTML/PDF report, publication-ready map, Excel workbook, and GeoJSON spatial data. ClaimWatch also offers Claim Staking services and GroundControl seniority analysis.
What is the AY2013 gap year and how do I know if my claims are at risk?
In 2011, Congress accidentally dropped pre-1993 lode claims from the maintenance fee statute, restoring the FLPMA Section 314(a) filing requirement for one assessment year. Claims that paid the AY2013 fee but did not file a qualifying FLPMA annual filing by December 30, 2012 may be subject to conclusive abandonment. Claim jumpers are actively searching for these. ClaimWatch has already flagged every affected claim and can tell you immediately whether yours are exposed. Learn more about Gap Year Exposure.
What is GroundControl?
GroundControl is a geometric and temporal analysis tool that examines an entire mining claim portfolio for seniority conflicts, invalid discovery monument placement, excluded-lands overlaps, and acreage reductions. Each conflict identifies the specific senior claim serial number so counsel can investigate. It is not a legal opinion — it provides verified geometric findings built for attorney review.
